Khama Billiat joins Supersport United?
Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Khama Billiat may have found a new club after he was spotted training with South African club SuperSport United on Thursday.
Billiat left Amakhosi in July 2023 after his contract expired and has been without a club since then.
Speculation about Billiat’s future intensified when an image circulated on social media, showing him in SuperSport United’s training kit. The sighting of the former Warriors captain at the club’s training ground has sparked rumours of a potential move to the team.
The 33-year-old Zimbabwean national played a significant role in Kaizer Chiefs’ success, particularly in reaching the CAF Champions League in 2019. However, injuries hindered his progress during his time with the club. Since leaving Amakhosi in July 2023, Billiat has kept a low profile and remained out of action.

SuperSport United’s participation in the CAF Confederations Cup adds layer of appeal for Billiat, as his experience could prove invaluable in both continental and domestic competitions.
While there have been no official updates from SuperSport United regarding Billiat’s potential signing, the January transfer window remains open, providing an opportunity for the club to evaluate the player further. Head coach Gavin Hunt may be looking to bolster his squad’s experience with potential additions for the second half of the campaign. Hunt previously worked with Billiat at Kaizer Chiefs.
SuperSport United is scheduled to return to PSL action on February 13 against Sekhukhune, and fans eagerly anticipate any developments regarding Billiat’s potential move to the club.
